We have received numerous inquiries about what the procedures are for signing up Independent Business Owners (IBOs) in Japan. The following details those procedures:
Doing Business in Japan
Nuriche is currently signing up independent business owners (IBOs) who are residents in Japan. Because Nuriche products are not yet registered for sale in Japan, all business activity is done on a “not-for-resale” (NFR) basis, meaning that a resident in Japan can sign up as an IBO and order product direct from the United States, but cannot then re-sell that product in Japan. Anyone who wants to order product in Japan or sign up as an IBO must follow these procedures.
All residents in Japan must receive a “gaiyo shomen” (disclosure document) before signing up as an IBO with Nuriche. This document must be given to the distributor in hard copy form and must be in color so that the printing in red can be distinguished from the rest of the text. This disclosure document is a requirement established by the Japanese government for all network marketing companies doing business in Japan. It is not sufficient to forward an electronic copy and ask the prospective IBO to print it out.
The actual registration process has to be done by completing the two-page Registration Form and sending it via fax to Nuriche Japan Customer Service (operated by a company called Access Technologies). Unlike the “gaiyo shomen”, this registration form can be distributed via email or fax.
Please have your applicant contact Nuriche Japan Customer Service to obtain the Registration Form and the disclosure document (the “gaiyo shomen”). They can also help your applicant to properly fill in the form in Japanese. Be sure to tell the applicant to write down your name and ID in the Sponsor section, and keep Placement section blank if you are planning to place later. In view of the continuing economic climate, we have listened to a number of IBOs who have expressed concerns about auto ship thresholds. As we considered what is in the best interest of our IBOs, we have determined to make a positive modification to our auto ship requirements.
Auto Ship Modification (Effective January 1, 2011)
The autoship requirements will be dropped for any Prosper IBO who is at a rank of Silver or below to 80 CV and $100.
Propser IBOs, Gold and above will retain the current requirement of 120 CV and $150.
We believe this modification is sensitive to our IBO’s needs and will enable them to build their business on a solid foundation during a time of a continuing economy difficulty.
Earn a Free Auto Ship (Effective December 16, 2010)
In addition to the auto ship modification, we are excited to announce an initiative for all IBOs which enables you to earn CV credit and/or a free auto ship.
Under this initiative, if you:
Sign-up 2 new Share IBOs, and those IBOs fulfill their auto ship requirements the following month, you receive $40 CV credit.
Sign-up an additional 5 Share IBOs and the initial 2 remain active and all 7 fulfill their auto ship requirements the following month, you receive another $40 CV credit during the month of their auto ship. In addition, if you are an IBO at the rank of Silver or below, you earn a free auto ship. From this point forward, when all 7 (or new replacements) fulfill their auto ship requirements, IBOs who are Silver or below will continue to earn a free auto ship.
Sign-up an additional 5 Share IBOs and the prior 7 remain active and all 12 fulfill their auto ship requirements the following month, you receive an additional $40 CV during the month of their auto ship. In addition,if you are an IBO at the rank of Gold and above, you earn a free autoship. From this point forward, when all 12 (or new replacements) fulfill their auto ship requirements, IBOs who are Gold and above will continue to earn a free auto ship.

Qualification Points
To qualify for the Business Builder Bonus, anyone at the rank of Manager, Bronze or Silver must earn 6 Points during a month. A Prosper enrollee equals 3 Points and a Share enrollee would equal 1 Point for calculation purposes.
Business Builder Bonus Pool Funding
$10 will go into the Business Builder Bonus Pool for every Prosper IBO signed up by all IBOs during a month, and $3 for every Share IBO signed up by all IBOs in a month. This pool will be funded by Nuriche as a promotional cost rather than come from the 60% IBO payout featured in the EquiFlex plan.
Payout
The payout for qualified participants will be calculated as follows:
Total Business Builder Bonus Pool, divided by the number Points earned by qualified participants = Bonus Point Value.
Payout to each participant would be the Bonus Point Value x Points Earned by each qualified participant.
Example
If Nuriche IBOs signed up a total of 750 new Prosper IBOs and 200 Share IBOs in a month, $8,100 would be contributed to the Builder Business Bonus Pool (750 x $10 = $7,500+ 200 x $3 = $600 = $8,100.
If qualified participants earned 200 points, the Bonus Point Value would be: $8,100 divided by 200 = $40.50.
Participants would calculate their Builder Business Bonus based on their Total Points earned x Bonus Point Value.
