When Canton, Ohio-native Tom Scott became a Nuriche IBO six months ago, he was literally a different man. His health was dangerously compromised by a number of serious conditions, mostly caused by the fact that 5’7” father of nine tipped the scales at 323 pounds. His blood pressure was dangerously high, he struggled with gout and had low energy, all contributing to a poor quality of life and frequent trips to the doctor.
After IBO Cathy Allen introduced Tom to Nuriche’s quality line of live, whole food products in August 2010, he began regularly consuming Nuriche’s flagship products, Live and ReVIVE, the following month and soon noticed an increase in energy, a decrease in hunger pangs and a steady loss of weight. In the fall, after losing 37 pounds, he was invited to participate in the pre-launch study of Nuriche’s new weight loss system, LiveTRIM™. During the 90-day study which began on October 1, he dropped an additional 63 pounds, culminating in the celebration of his 100-pound weight loss on January 26th, in a special meeting in Canton.
From stage, Tom shared his amazing 6-month journey that has transformed his life in almost every way. “In addition to losing 100 pounds, my blood pressure has returned to normal, my continued struggle with gout has ceased, my energy level is consistently high and my overall quality of life has improved drastically,” he told a captivated audience. “Equal to the joy of my own physical success, is the joy of watching others that I introduce to Nuriche achieving the same type of results. I am passionate about our company and our products, and I look forward to spreading the Nuriche message of wellness around the world.”
Chairman’s Award Recognizes Outstanding Devotion to Greater Good
To honor and recognize Tom’s accomplishments, Nuriche CEO David Parker flew to Canton and surprised Tom during a special presentation by awarding him the 2010 Chairman’s Inspiration Award. The annual award is presented to a Nuriche IBO who “reflects the mission and culture of Nuriche and My Firm Foundation by exhibiting excellence in their actions and by demonstrating outstanding devotion to the greater good.”
As he presented the award, David said Tom received this prestigious award because of his exemplary performance on several fronts. Said David, “As a user of our products, Tom’s life has changed dramatically as evidenced by his 100 pound weight loss. As an IBO, he maximized the compensation plan and built his organization on the right foundation – his commissions for December were 35% of his volume. And finally, as a leader, Tom maximized corporate incentive programs taking 2nd in the Holiday Rewards Program.”
As David concluded the presentation, he observed, “Tom Scott reflects all of the goodness of Nuriche in his life, in his family and in his relationships with others. He is an effective steward of what is before him and is changing lives for the better—his own, his family’s and the lives of others he meets.
After the presentation, Tom said, “As amazing as receiving this award is, I am even more impressed with the leadership of our company and their sincere desire to reach out and meet the needs of others. I feel blessed to be a part of the Nuriche team and look forward to great success in the future.”
Join us in congratulating Tom and others like him who have caught the vision and are changing their own lives and the lives of others by embracing and sharing the mission of our growing company.

From the moment IBOs boarded Royal Caribbean’s Grandeur of the Seas in Ft. Lauderdale on Monday, October 18th, they knew they were in store for a magical week at sea. Even by the time we gathered for dinner that first evening, we had all met and bonded and felt the spirit of Nuriche live and well on the high seas.
Tuesday morning was the time set apart for a Corporate Meeting, and led by David Parker, we made a slew of exciting announcements, including the details of our new Recognition Program, the launch of Nuriche Mall and a Spanish language web site, and the unveiling of our next Incentive Cruise in April. After consulting with our leaders, we came to a unanimous decision to have Las Vegas, Nevada to be the location of our 2011 International Convention. The meeting was capped with dynamic presentations given by Triple Diamond IBOs Edgardo Valdivieso and Phil Nichols.
The Stingray City Tour in Grand Cayman on Wednesday was a hit! Many of us earned 7 years of good luck for kissing a stingray and several others earned 20 years of good luck for a lick! We held them, fed them squid and then got the chance to see other tropical fish while we snorkeled.
There was a downpour in Cozumel on Thursday, but many IBOs were game and braved the elements to participate in excursions. (Diamond IBO Chad Sparks and his wife, Jaimi, rented a green VW Beetle and had an adventure.) Those that stayed on the ship enjoyed a view of the world’s largest cruise ship, Oasis of the Sea.
On Friday afternoon, IBOs requested another meeting, and we spent valuable time participating in a Nuriche product overview led by Emerald IBOs Gaius and Donna Kazen. Everyone was impressed by the Kazen’s command of the ingredients and benefits of Nuriche products, and the meeting continued after dinner into the night.
Each night, dinners presented the opportunity to build camaraderie and strengthen friendships. The Viking Dance Club was a place we let down our hair and that’s probably all I should say.
We returned to Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday morning more energized than ever. This time together has made us all more committed to building Nuriche and realizing the promise that it offers. All of us who attended this inaugural cruise felt the momentum that is building to make Nuriche the best opportunity in network marketing today.
Twenty-five of Nuriche’s top IBOs are headed for the high seas as winners of Nuriche’s inaugural recognition trip!
To participate on the Trailblazer Caribbean Cruise, IBOs had to attain the rank of Ruby as of August 31, 2010 and be among the top 25 IBOs ranked by qualifying volume. IBO winners will be hosted by CEO David Parker and CFO Doug Folsom and their spouses as they tour the Caribbean with stops in Georgetown, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. I agree with Henry Ford who once said, “A business that makes nothing but money is a poor kind of business indeed.” While being profitable is essential for any business to survive, I believe a company must stand for something and subscribe to ethical behavior to be truly successful.
Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield of ice cream fame (Ben & Jerry’s) found that by making humanitarianism and philanthropy integral parts of their business ethic, they were able to combine profitability with social responsibility while building one of the largest ice cream empires in the world.
This is the model we subscribe to at Nuriche. We have made our non-profit partner, My Firm Foundation, our Master Distributor, and commit 2% of IBO compensation to charitable initiatives. Last week, for instance, My Firm Foundation sponsored “The Golden Games” in Salt Lake City to help seniors in care centers remain vital and active. As we grow and evolve, we envision our efforts taking on a global mission.
All of this wouldn’t mean much, however, if as company executives, we didn’t personally subscribe to ethical behavior. Ethical behavior results when our hearts, minds and actions are aligned with ethical principles. When a commitment to this kind of alignment exists, decisions don’t vary based on outside pressures or what is expedient in the moment merely to achieve more profits.
All the executives at Nuriche believe in upholding the very highest standards of ethical behavior and assert that “good ethics is good business.” After years in the business world, all of us have observed that good ethics serve a company better in the long-run in terms of customer loyalty, employee satisfaction and overall respect because ethical behavior appeals to people more than any product or service could on their own.
We also feel a sense of responsibility because if we don’t model ethical behavior, how can we hold IBOs or employees to ethical standards? We feel so strongly about this, that we have worked with IBOs to establish the “IBO Bill of Rights” which verbalizes the kind of ethical treatment an IBO can expect at Nuriche.
Ethics are important not only in business, but also in all aspects of life because it is an essential part of the foundation on which a civilized society is built. A business or society that lacks ethical principles is bound to fail sooner or later.
As Nuriche continues to grow exponentially month after month, and as we anticipate the opening of international markets, the question has arisen from a number of IBOs, “Can you meet the demands of growth?” The unequivocal answer is a resounding “YES!”
During the last several months, Nuriche has taken several steps to ensure that we have the scalability to meet future growth:
Products: Nuriche has proactively expanded the rostrum of top suppliers from which we source our live, whole food ingredients. These suppliers provide only the highest quality fruits, vegetables, grasses and other ingredients from premium orchards, gardens and fields. These large suppliers are well equipped to meet the growing demand for the ingredients which are used to produce our proprietary products. Once Nuriche products are created, they are shipped within a month to ensure that consumers receive only the freshest, most nutritionally efficacious product possible.
Manufacturing Capability: A few weeks ago, we hired Gordon Fralick, who had served as a consultant for us for several months, to become VP of Operations. Gordon brings a rich background in leading the development of efficient manufacturing systems, overseeing regulatory and quality teams and in registering products throughout the world. He has already developed and instituted a new manufacturing production system that has significantly increased our manufacturing capacity and strongly positions us for future growth. We are confident that our manufacturing operations can meet the growing domestic and international demand for our products.
Executive Management: Anticipating rapid growth in the second half of the year, Nuriche has recruited and hired several top notch executives with different expertise to complement the existing management team who founded the company. Like the original executives, they subscribe to a vision of creating an opportunity that will change lives in a long-term, sustainable way. They also are committed to adhering to the highest ethical standards possible to guide our business model.
As we come off a very successful summer during which we experienced significant growth, we want to assure you that we are well positioned to meet the inevitable growth that will come as we work together with you in a true partnership. It is exciting to think about how our growth will expand our ability to change and bless lives. Thank you for all you are doing to make Nuriche the best opportunity available in the network marketing industry today.
